Contextual Custom Docs
Later today, you'll be able to create any custom document directly from your codebase landing pages, bypassing the need to set up a new page with a source. Just describe what you want the doc to cover, how long you want it, and click go.
Driver Docs Navigation
We’ve redesigned the Docs Table of Contents navigation, making it faster and simpler to browse through large monorepos and complex symbol-level files. You can hop between functions, documentation, source code, and chats all in one view. You can also more easily resize, expand, or collapse your Symbol, Folder, Chat, or Source Code sidebars to create space for the content you’re focused on.
Chat Keeps You on Track
We’re shipping more improvements to Chat. Expect faster responses to non-technical questions and use case suggestions to help you stay productive.
This release lays the foundation for exciting new features to come, including:
Exploring your codebase by components or other relevant entry points, and generating targeted READMEs, onboarding guides, and architecture docs.
Letting agents and LLMs access Driver Docs directly from your favorite tools.
Improved speed and performance for large codebases.
More control over how you handle codebase updates and export documentation.
More control over how you view different versions of your documentation.
Additional language specializations
A few reminders:
The new codebase landing page will appear for each codebase individually the next time you push an update.
The best way to keep your doc fresh is to enable Push Updates on your codebase.
If you’re working with .zip codebases or a codebase that’s already current, and you’d like this feature turned on manually, just reach out to us at [email protected]—we’re happy to help.
